Wine description

Finca Sobreño Reserva is a Special Selection, which means that within the characteristics of the wine for a “reserva” and the consequent ageing time in oak, the oenologist has to be very precise in order to achieve a balance of the spicy nuances of its 14 months in a barrel with the “weight” of the greater grape maturity. It is a red wine of the Denomination of Origin Toro, coming from a vineyard of 35 years of age.

Made with 100% Tinta de Toro. The grape was selected by hand and after having the stems removed the grape juice was subjected to a cold maceration at 7°C for 5 days prior to fermentation. The total period of fermentation and maceration lasted approximately 20 days, a little longer period to obtain greater tannin that would allow a longer ageing. The period in the barrel was shared into 50% time in a new barrel and the other 50% in a barrel of one year of use, divided between French and American oak, followed by a minimum ageing of 12 months in the bottle.

A red wine of intense colour, of powerful bouquet of ripe fruit and sweet spices, with toasted touches and evocation of black cacao. The taste in the mouth is also powerful, fleshy, delicious, with black fruit and a spicy aftertaste.
