Crianzas are the base of almost all Rioja wineries. It is the most commercialized wine with characteristics that suit most consumers. However, Bodegas Amaren apply the same rigour to this wine as to high range wines, choosing the clusters at double selection table with low yields, with the difference of younger vineyards origin, with an average age of 35 years, which create a fruity and varietal nerve. To 85% Tempranillo, 15 % Garnacha is added, which provides smoothness and sweet fruit with a slight earthy touch. Its tannins are gentle, which could not be otherwise being a crianza. The 50% composition of new American and second-year French oaks creates harmony between the spicy nuances of the oak and the fruit of the varieties that compose the wine, what is more, enriched with fresh acidity. A wine with memories of ripe red fruit, vanilla, cedar and fallen leaves, with such fluidity in the mouth that its touch provides a rich taste and abundance of nuances.
- Colour Ruby red colour
- Nose A clean nose with notes of balsamic and fine nuances of plum and clean oak.
- Palate Smooth, fruit and spice flavours with toasted oak. Complex and structured. A pleasant finish with red fruits and hints of eucalyptus.
- Food pairing Recommended for red meats, game and ripe cheeses.
