6 Unit Box Baigorri Rosé 2018
- Year 2018
D.O. Ca. Rioja
Suggested temperature for serving
- Winemaker Simón Arina
The portrait of Rioja Rosé wine consists of two varieties mixture: Tempranillo nerve and acidity and Garnacha fruit. Baigorri follows this precept. However, this winegrower also adds personality provided by old grape stocks, an unusual practice in other wineries, which consider this wine type to be of less ambitious quality and prestige. Coming from vineyards of 45 years on average, their clusters and berries were selected by hand, using vibration and weight selection tables.
It is a soft wine with a long and intense aftertaste, where fruit aromas of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries predominate.
- Colour Strawberry-hued centre with high intensity, which is achieved in a rosé made by the traditional method of drawing off the must through gravity.
- Nose Intense fruit aromas, with a predominance of strawberry and banana.
- Palate Fresh with red fruit flavours. Slightly smoky, with texture, weight and volume. Balanced with good acidity
- Food pairing Seasonal salads, light tapas, steamed and grilled fish and some chicken dishes.
