Wine description

Serrada and La Seca represent the embryo of the Rueda Denomination of Origin. If so, it is also the embryo of the Verdejo grape. Dry lands of Castilla, where their roots must seek their nutrients in the depths of the soil. This is stated in the identity card of the old vineyards of Val de Vid. They are 20 own hectares and 60 associated with an average age of 50 years.

Made with a classic blend of 80% Verdejo and 20% Viura, the harvest is cold macerated before alcoholic fermentation. This last process is carried out at a temperature that does not rise above 16º, which helps to maintain and intensify the particular flavor of the varieties. Subsequently, the wine was kept in contact with the fine lees to strengthen its structure, providing broader and more glyceric sensations on the palate.

A white that presents the good understanding between these two grapes: the fruity character with a slightly wild and personal touch of the Verdejo, with the lightness, freshness and acidity of the Viura. It has a crystalline straw color with an aroma of ripe white fruit, somewhat floral, with hints of wild herbs and easy to drink.
