Wine description
Founded in 1964 in Labastida, Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida retains the pioneering spirit of Manuel Quintano, who in the 18th century brought Bordeaux manufacturing and aging techniques to Spain. 80 hectares of vineyard of the entire term of Labastida (450-670 masl) supply this project located between the Ebro river and the Sierra de Cantabria, where the Atlantic influence with great contrasts between day and night reaches its greatest expression.
Made with Tempranillo de Labastida vineyards over 30 years old. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 4 days and subsequent spontaneous fermentation. Aging for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Cherry red color. Aromas of red fruit that are mixed with nuances of pastries. Medium volume in the mouth with great persistence. Memories of spices and smoked wood appear in the aftertaste.
